KYSL SD23: Tom Basinski

January 28, 2009

Know Your Session Leaders ….

Further advancing this year’s Writing Crime track is none other than Tom Basinski, the almost-priest and now-retired veteran of the Chula Vista Police Department and San Diego District Attorney’s Office.

Tom brings us not only an extensive repertoire of over a hundred short stories, but also No Good Deed, the acclaimed but chilling true story of a 1998 murder in La Jolla, California; and the recently-released Cross-Country Evil, which follows the long and often painful investigation into the 1988 murder of Janet Moore, a tale that takes police and readers across the country, from San Diego to Florida in pursuit of a killer.

He will present the workshop, “Murder, He Writes“, which crime-writers of fiction and non-fiction alike can look forward to.
